Some businesses tend to thrive when they are congregated with other similar businesses. Car Dealers, Night Clubs, Restaurants, Furniture Stores and Art Galleries seem to do better when located near their competitors than they do when off by their lonesome.

I just wrote a lease for a gallery to move it from its suburban strip mall location to an old town area (Roseville CA) near 3 other galleries.

I would encourage you to look for those kinds of dynamics in your next setting

San Diego would have some very interesting and appropriate places for you- especially in our new "East Village" area. Also, we have some places in Solana Beach in the Cedros area which would be perfect. In addition we could find you something a bit more north in Laguna Beach, as that is what LB is known for. I'd be happy to help you find the perfect place. We need to know your budget, size restrictions, etc. Give me a call Phyllis if I can be of help.

Many people have moved from LA and done this in New Orleans. There are still some opportunities left here in the Big Easy for alot better value than LA

Are you looking to purchase or lease? Good luck with this, i have had this dream also for awhile but too busy with work to accomplish it. Im not from LA but, i have friends in the area that are full time artists. There was a art district before downtown LA that i went to, it seemed like a natural area to further this idea.
