You’ve picked a great place to consider moving. The Flathead Valley (Kalispell and the surrounding areas) has many wonderful horse properties to choose from. To get specific answers from this site would be impossible. My suggestion would be to interview agents. If you have friends/family here ask them for referrals. If you know an agent where you live have them refer a few for interviews (RE/MAX has a great network of referrals). Once you pick the agent let them know you are working only with them, let them know exactly what you expect from them and the property you are looking for, and that Realtor should be a tremendous help.

There are many different types of horse properties and I’m confident you and your agent can find the one you desire here in the Kalispell area. Best of Luck!

Hi Karen,
I am a property owner in Kalispell / Whitefish ,not a realtor, and just read your post after viewing this website for the first time. I have several properties that are considered by many as beautiful and perfect for horse owners. Your question concerning irrigation / water rights also interested me as I have worked with both issues to ensure long term water rights stability providing technically advanced access to irrigation water for my properties and those of my neighbors. Go ahead and e-mail me, RLK7@centurytel.net, and I will be happy to share more info.
Best regards,
Rudy

Hi, Karen! There are numerous horse properties available in Kalispell and surrounding areas. The easiest way to show you what's available is to send you a variety of properties from our MLS based upon your criteria (price range, acreage, # of bedrooms & baths, etc.) If you'd like to receive emails on current properties, I'll be glad to help. As far as water rights go, Montana has been going through an adjudication process. Here is the web site for NMAR, Northwest Montana Association of Realtors. Let me know if I can be of further assistance. barb@mtcrossroadsrealty.com
