How is Five Points area in Hamilton?

We are looking at a place that is near Five Points in Hamilton....it's near Our Lady of Sorrows Elementary school.

We're not concerned about the schools since we don't have kids. We're more concerned with the area as a whole: how safe it is, how the resale situation is, what the reputation is, etc.

We live in Mercer County so we're somewhat familiar with the area - we just don't know that specific area.

We're first time home buyers so any advice would be greatly appreciated.

thanks

the neighborhoods across the street from our lady of sorrows are fine. There is no crime and a real sense of community, houses are older and many have tons of character. Both of these things you wont find in a new development. Only bad parts of Hamilton are those bordering Trenton (same can be said of lawrenceville) neighborhood is quiet and convenient to everything, drive through any weekend and you'll see families outside playing. Is it West Windsor or Robbinsville no, but then it doesn't cost nearly as much either. Don't stress 90% of Hamilton is fine. Good luck in your search.

It is always good to spend some time in an unfamiliar area. Go out to lunch, talk with neighbors, stop by the police department, etc. We all have different views of what we like or dislike.
