The taxes and mil rate in Norwalk is lower than Bridgeport, meaning that yes, the taxes in Norwalk are less than in Bridggeport, however...
You get more house for your money in Bridgeport, but you will be paying more taxes. Like most things, there are pros & cons to every situation. It really is up to where you are going to feel most comfortable. Both towns offer great amenities and are centrally located on Long Island Sound.
I am a Norwalk native and do have my real estate office, real estate & family there, however I live in Lake Forest, a beautiful lake community in the north end of Bridgeport, (which by the way, is one of Bridgeport's best kept secrets!
