Hi Mel,
You are not going to be able to find much in the 78736 zip code. It sounds like you want to stay South/ Southwest. I think that a great area to look at is the 78745 , 78748, or 78749 zip codes. If you are a first time home buyer you need to buy your home before December 1st to get the $8,000 tax credit from the government. I actively work in South and Southwest Austin and would be happy to set up a search for you - just let me know.

Sincerely,
Crystal Kilpatrick

Mel,

Are you a first time home buyer, or have not owned a home in the last three years? If so, you don't want to wait too long. The $8000 tax credit expires at the end of November.

You can create and save your own custom search for all homes that are for sale on the Central Texas MLS at my website at http://www.thomas-griffin.com. If you have any other questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.

There won't be much to choose from in that price range in zip 78736, but you will have a few homes. It's a neat area, not too far from shopping, the lake, downtown, etc.. I'll be happy to give you details of the homes which are available. Just contact me so I can visit with you more to narrow down exactly what you are looking for. Have a great week!
