I think that they did a nice job upgrading this building. Parking is available for extra money. Good location with some amenities. Its obviously doesn't have the charm of a brownstone though.

Sure, if you're looking for a building for sale in Brookline, it's better than 1450 beacon (not a better location though). But be prepared for the upsell. Whatever price they advertise, will be lower than what you pay for it. They'll charge you more for granite, more for parking, more for whatever upgrades they can sell you....

But it's a nice Washington Square location, close to the T, and if you don't mind the hotel feeling that most new buildings tend to have nowadays, it's a great place. If you're a character and charm person, it might not be the best place for you....

For people who looking for new or gut-rehab spaces about 1,000 SF or less, the building provides some very nice options. Yes, parking is extra, but in Brookline you pay for parking anywhere one way or the other, so it is nice to have an option. If you're looking for more spaceous unit(s), there are just a few available in Brookline in such condition as 1600 Beacon St building offers. Washington Sq is a great location too.
