Happy Holidays everyone! Where is a great neighborhood to view Christmas light displays this year?

Asked by Jason Walter, Sacramento, CA Tue Dec 3, 2013

In years past, I went to the neighborhood in Roseville by the Bel Air at Sunset & Stanford Ranch that had an amazing display.

Hi Jason,

Here is a link where you can find most of the Christmas activities by area in Sacramento: http://www.lightsofthevalley.com/Properties/Sacramento.asp

The Sacramento Bee also has a good article today about the holiday:

Definitely 53rd St just north of T St. It gets CRAZY over there! Lights across the streets, music, Santa is there. Just a great vibe in a cute little neighborhood.
The Fab Forties is always a great place to see lights in Sacramento as well.
Happy Holidays everyone!

The Fab 40s is the place to go for Christmas lights, every year.

Placer Title posted a brochure of where are the best lights. One of my two favorites are the lights on Pebble Creek Drive in Rocklin (which is what I think you're referring to by the BelAir...) and the Dovewood Court in Orangevale have been a tradition to view for many years.

I also was fortunate enough to view the Downtown Theatre of Lights show at Front Street and K last week. It's FREE (free parking on the streets, and free show), hosted by the downtown merchants. There is a show at 6:15 and 7:45 every night up to Christmas. It's about 15-20 minutes long and a very fun reason to go downtown, have some dinner and enjoy the restaurants and shops downtown.

If someone wants me to email them the list of light displays, just email me. if I was smart enough I'd know how to stick it here in a link,...but I'm not.

The Fab 40's of course. A great place to tour with family and friends, in a car, limo or even by foot with some hot cocoa.

If anyone is in the Arden Park neighborhood of Sacramento, there is a house full of lights and Christmas decorations on the corner of Fair Oaks Blvd and San Ramon. It's an elaborate display!
