Does anyone know of any efforts in particular to keep the first time homebuyer tax credit extension alive in Congress after it's defeat last?

week? It was reported that Harry Reid was abandoning this legislation and moving on. Is this still in play, and if so, where, and by whom? I believe a letter writing campaign is in order.

UPDATE 6/29/10: It appears that stand alone bills that would extend unemployment benefits and the closing date for the first time home buyer tax credit will be introduced in the house today by Rep. Sander Levin of Michigan. This is a breaking story, more to follow.

Hello Jeri,

I believe the legeslation was rejected as it was passed with other pork in it. I have a couple transactions on hold because this is up in the air. Crossing fingers!
