Green Valley Ranch has a really terrific golf course. It's public but many tournaments are held there including the Colorado Open which will be held there July 24 to 27.
The course was built by Perry Dye, son of Pete Dye. Perry and his family live the Denver area. Dad Pete built Glenmoor and Plum Creek also in the Denver area.

Yikes! It has gone down the tubes. Used to be nice. If you want stability, stay clear. Gonna take a LONG time to build equity there.

I know a fair bit about Green Valley Ranch. A buyer can get a lot of home for the money. There are lots of listings that are bank owned & short sales.

If you are looking to be close to the airport and east of the city than I would say this neighborhood is your best bet. However, it has been hit hard with short sales, foreclosures, and HUD homes. You can find some great deals out there for the size of the home and the amenities Green Valley Ranch offers.

It's near DIA and almost every thing I've seen over there is HUD, bank-owned, short sale, or in foreclosure.
