Whoops! I deleted my answer to fix a type-o! ...Let's see if I remember what I typed.
I stumbled upon Zillow when it was just a little "z". I knew there was something about, and actually contacted Zillow through their email to compliment them. I always give the devil its due. Many real estate companies were getting hot under the collar about Zillow. I even took some heat from agents because I used some Zillow information in my advertising. (By the way, I double check information, whether it be Zillow or MLS). The news of Zillow spread like wild fire, and no one could stomp it out. In the end, I suppose many companies and agents decided if you can't beat 'em join em. ...But, I kind of figured that would happen a long time ago. Our philosophy is to provide as much information and transparency to Buyers as we can. In this regard, we post ALL of our listings on Zillow.com
I want my Listing clients to get as many eyeballs as they can on their listings, regardless of where online a Buyer may be looking. We maintain three primary sites for our listings, with feeds out to over twenty-five additional sites. We also use virtual tours for EVERY listing client as well as enhanced Realtor.com features. With over 85% of Buyers starting their search on the web, we believe it is critically important to use every reasonable online means that we can to market our properties. I'll feed some of my listings to Zillow, however the zestimates are mostly "na" in greater Delaware. Which doesn't really help draw traffic. It is an interesting site to watch though.

Thanks. I think Z is one to watch to see what they do. The consumers in my market seem to be quite educated about the fact that their information is only correct on occasion.

I have not looked at Zillow in a long time. As a company we have never had our listings on Zillow but individual agents may... I have not paid attention. We do as a company feed our listings to Trulia but never did with Zillow. Real Living was one of Zillows earliest advertisers when the site was launched. For a short time Zillow was on all the Real Living websites. That changed suddenly in December when Zillow wanted listings.
