Did you know that the Corp of Engineers has issued an extention of the moritorium on dock permits on Lake Lanier? At least until October there will be no more permits issued. Please let me know if I can give you more information on homes on Lake Lanier in north Georgia. Lisa Farmer http://www.lisafarmerhomes.com

I think that they are holding off until the lake gets more water in it. With the lake level so far down, docks are close together, if they are floating, Now is not a good time to have them come and look.

If you have a good place for a dock and are just waiting for a permit, then do go after it. I understand that they are using some type of special way to choose who gets one and who does not. It may be like a rusted nut and bolt.

The do answer the phone in Buford every time I call. You may have to leave a message, and they will call you back. Stay on it. They like the boat docks 50+ feet apart. (From each other) If you are ready, stay on it. The money will be worth it.

Thank you for sharing that. I had heard that and I am looking forward to increased values for our sellers on the lake!
