Can you describe how Tiburon looks and feels for a person that has never lived here?

Do residents maintain their homes and lawns? Are there dramatic differences between different neighborhoods or zip codes? Is there a dominant architecture throughout the city?

The Tiburon Peninsula is a long point of land that extends into San Francisco Bay from the main body of Marin County. The main artery into Tiburon is Tiburon Boulevard, a beautiful road that winds along the bay. There are a number of different neighborhoods along this route, but generally speaking the more expensive homes are higher on the hills. That said, Tiburon is an upscale community, taking great pride in maintaining that position. There is no single architecture in Tiburon, but for the most part the homes are from the sixties and more recent. The older sixties homes are typically ranch or contemporary homes, but a growing number have been dramatically remodeled and upgraded. And as I mentioned above, when you drive up into the hills, the homes can be quite spectacular, large estates with sweeping views of the bay and city.

Tiburon is a long peninsula with hills and much open space. Many homes have spectacular views of San Francisco, San Francisco Bay or mountains and greenspace. The price of homes vary greatly by neighborhood, but all neighborhoods are excellent places to live.
