Can you describe how Boca Raton looks and feels for a person that has never lived here?

Do residents maintain their homes and lawns? Are there dramatic differences between different neighborhoods or zip codes? Is there a dominant architecture throughout the city?

Generally, residents maintain their homes nicely. Look for tropical landscaping with palm trees and lots of greenery with splashes of color. Some homeowners associations maintain this for you, while others are do it yourself. There are a lot of barrel tile roofs, similar to meditarrean design. Of course, zip codes vary, but anywhere you land in Boca is a plus! The best part....NO HILLS!

Boca Raton is a well maintained area of Palm Beach County. Most of the single family home communities are maintained by the homeowners i.e. lawns, etc. Dominant architecture throughout the city limits of Boca Raton is Mizner inspired - with tile roofs,

Boca Raton Its a haven of peace yet close to Miami (40 minutes) FT Lauderdale (20 minutes) and West Palm Beach (30 minutres). City services are excellent. Great beaches and amenities such a s Mizner Park, several sport facilities with excellent recreational activities, dog parks and a very fiendly atmosphere... and certainly the best weather... When its freezing up North its 70 degrees here... When its 90 degrees here its 100 up North! Practically no crime, affordable (properties start in the 200Ks and go to 30 Million, what do you need?) and a great place to call home! Boca is great!

What impressed me the most about Boca Raton is the diversity of the areas. I love the West Boca Area as it holds everything that I need for my family. The East Boca Area is great for the beaches and the night life. It all depends on what you are looking for and Boca Raton has something for everyone.

Generaly single famly homes maintain their own properties. In planned communities, the maintenance is generally done by the community and the residents are charged a monthly fee. In condos, all building maintence is included in the monthly fees. The architencture of the city is varied depending on the type of community you chose. Most singe family homes do feature pools here. In all, Boca Raton is a beautifully maintained community!

Boca Raton, 'A city within a park' is influenced by the work of famed architect Addison Mizner. Many of the original homes were built by Mizner to house the many workers brought to Boca to work on his masterpiece, the Boca Raton Hotel and Club. With the help of its many private communities, the city has maintained its beautifully landscaped and pristine roadways and parks.

What impressed me the most when I first came to Boca Raton was that unlike many other cities that have lovely, beautifully groomed communities behind their gates and walls, Boca Raton landscapes along the highways, roads and medial strips. It is hard to find an area of Boca Raton that isn't well manicured, whether you are driving along Military Trail or entering a subdivison of million dollar homes.
