why when places like say FREE foreclosure listing, then it is only 7 days then $40.00 a month. In this day

and time you would think FREE would mean FREE, and if you were to forget after 7 days they have you with you info. Is there truly a FREE site no obligation. Just wondering the WHY's of it.

Hi Lydia,

Yes, there is, via a Realtor! There's no need to spend a dime on foreclousre sites like RealtyTrac. It’s very common to be misled by these sites, which are not listing services. They post notices of foreclosure and default pulled from public records. Their postings are very misleading because the price shown is NOT representative of what the property will be when priced for sale.

If you are serious about finding a distressed property, work with a Realtor - you will be glad you did. Since the Seller pays the commission to the Buyer's Agent there really is no reason not to get professional guidance when purchasing a home, after all, the Seller has professional representation – you should too! Realtors have the talent, experience, relationships, and time necessary to properly purchase a home.

Best, Steve

Lydia,

I guess you are talking about Realty Tracker where they give 7 days free access to their informations. Well, even if you get free from them, it will be not useful for you unless you are an investor. Those are the list of homeowners who is getting notice of default (lis pendes) which does not mean they are selling their house, it is just they received the notice for missed payment. If you are looking to buy a house then the best way to get free access of listing is to contact your local agent who does have all the listings available for sale, which you can buy and your agent will help in paper works...and YES EVERYTHING is for FREE with an agent on your side...

Lydia, It's about making money..............

You might consider trying this..... http://www.mortgagenewsdaily.com/wiki/REO_Database_List.asp

The banks maintain a Database of who they list their properties for sale(REO) with. These Databases contain
the asking price, property description, some have photos, address, and who the property is listed with.

Many of the Banks provide these Databases to view to the public for FREE......like these
http://www.countrywide.com/purchase/f_reo.asp
http://www.wamuproperties.com/
The site also will give you links to the Gov. property for sale sites
http://www.homesales.gov/homesales/mainAction.do
http://www.homesteps.com/hm01_1featuresearch.htm

All of these sites are Free and the public can use them for Free at any time. They also contain much information on the process of purchasing or bidding.

I hope this helps a bit, Dunes
