Hi Janet,
In addition to those. You can work with a Realtor who has access to the MLS listings. After the bank has foreclosed on a home, they list them on the MLS. Your Realtor will be able to show you a list of all foreclosures on the market in Fremont, Newark, or any city in the area.

Hope this helps,

Hi Janet, in only the most severe conditions will you find the Alameda County Tax Collector offering Tax-Defaulted property, (taxes remain unpaid for five+ years), for sale through a public auction, via the Tax Collection Department. All sales are FINAL and the property is sold "AS IS", so inspections are VERY important.

You can find out more about this by visiting this FAQ site:
http://www.co.alameda.ca.us/treasurer/defaultfaqs.pdf

This site provides the results of the last auction (except for 2 props, all were in Oakland):

I live in Fremont and can easily meet with you should you like to explore other distressed property purchasing strategies.

Best Regards, Steve

Janet:

Not sure what you are asking - do you want a list of foreclosures to look at for possible purchase?
