ILFLS.COM (The Illinois Foreclosure Listing Service) also has a free list of the coming auctions. Go to http://auctions.ilfls.com/ and choose the county (Only Chicago Land Area).
We have been using them for 2 1/2 years and no better professionals in town.
Also you may try the Sheriff's web site but not so much updated.

Chicago Tribune has auction schedules for the current or next day.

I'm in the same boat, I just wanted to look up one totally free and searched all the sites. I did one of the free trial ones and they didn't have the one I was looking for listed, so I canceled the free trial. Brian is completely correct, ilfls.com is NOT free but offers great information. I used them for over a year and compared them to other sites as well. The other site's information was always out of date and ilfls.com was not. There are also some free sites with up to date information about auctions but you need to have done far more research long before that date. One site is: http://chicago.il-foreclosure.com/

Hi Jenna, Search for REO companies on the web. Most have sights that carry all of their holdings. Try http://www.reotrans.com. There are many other out there with great, FREE information. I would suggest working with a buyers agent who understands the nuances of bank owned properties. Try contacting an agent with some bank owned listings....they know the system and can help you through the process. Becky Baker Coldwell Banker

Please feel free to use the search feature at my site: http://www.TimSoper.com. Just click on "Start Advanced Search" then click on the "Property Search" tab then click on the "Foreclosures" tab. When you find a property you like you can click the "Agent Assistance" button for more detailed info.

This is a great (FREE) way to get started in looking for foreclosed properties. If you are new to foreclosed properties, they are not typically "vanilla" deals. I would certainly recommend working with an agent who has experience with these transactions.
