to end to get current. they say there is no program from government to help me. I'm in Illinois. they won't help
1st off, you need to know you are not the only one doing this. It seems you have the right idea so far. Keep on you bank they are the one that will need to reset you payments. Pay what you can also to show you are doing your best. Call your officials State, local, Federal. Tell them you need help and help now. Tell them the reasons and what is going on. You never know Bloomington may be getting some one Tarp money or something that could help. Last but not least you can always sell the home. You do what is know as a short sale. I would call a Realtor in your area that is up to date on how to do a short sale. It is better then a foreclosure.
The first question you want to understand is who the investor on your loan. If the investor in FNMA, FHLMC or FHA the government is involved. If it is some other investor there may some problems where the investor will not entertain the modification. Also you might be talking to collection people and you need to talk to loss mitigation people. I you want some assistance I would be glad to try and assist you. Otherwise try to find someone loacally. Sometimes people do not commucinate with the banks exactly what they want or at least the bank does not understand what is being said.
