Steelers Simon gets notified just about the next day. Then they have to set a date for the sale. Then they have to publish notices of the sale for at least 30 days before. Then the deed gets recorded in about 2-3 weeks after the sale. Then the lender starts eviction or cash for keys with the occupants.

Not a short process. Those must be some nasty neighbors!

If you are the homeowner, contact me there may still be time to do a short sale. The owner of a home is still the owner until the sheriff sale occurs and many lenders will postpone an auction if the homeowner would like to do a short sale- not always but it's worth a try

You can check with the Courthouse where the sales take place. They usually set a sale date within 2 weeks after the Judge orders the sale.
