is hud liable for illegal additions built onto a hud manufactured home bought as a forclosure.?

we bought a hud forclosed with a deck and addition attached to where the manufactured home supports the homeward sides. also a window was taken out and a double door put in its place. (to include illegal wiring) Yet the local building dept doesnt recognize this free standing issue i mention, about the deck and addition.No saa approval on the home structure change either.

No. HUD is liable for nothing. You buy it as is, where is, with no disclosures, and at your own risk.

Mack is right. When you bought the place you probably signed a bunch of addendums, right? This is why it's important to do your due diligence. It's also why I tell my buyers that buying HUD homes, foreclosures, etc aren't always a good deal, and have plenty of risks.

If you plan to live there forever, then it's not really an issue. Just live with it as is. But if you want to sell it down the road, you'll have to have to go back and get permits, get it inspected and approved, etc.
