i am interested in buying a FNMA home. Based on recent experience how much or little will FNMA negotiate the price? Suggestions to get lower prices?

Fannie is obsessed with the Market Value of the property:
Meaning that if you have a lower tollerance, or you just want to make a Low-Ball offer, you are wasting your time.
But, lets say you find some things wrong with the property, particularly relating to health and safety, you can take pictures and include them with the offer, as well as a detailed list of repairs.
This also, probably won't work, but it is your only chance.
If your budget won't stretch, you probably should move on to a property you can afford.

good luck and may God bless

FNMA will send someone to look at the property and suggest what the market value is. From what I've seen they usually won't negotiate to much on the price if they already have it priced well.
