Although I usually advocate against getting involved with dual agency, in the case of a foreclosure (REO), you're better off just going to the listing agent. So much nonsense and paperwork that the listing agent will have the best available data with the least possible delay. Call the agent whose sign is on the house. That's the quickest route to making a viable offer on properties like these.

An agent can assist you with understanding the particulars of any property. The good news is that there are many good values. Prior posters are right, this is a great place to begin your search for an agent. Identify several, interview them and pick the one that best meets your needs.
Good luck to you,

On top of the page is a section called "Find a Pro." Click on that; specify the area you are looking for. There will be several agents to choose from. You can click on their names, read their answers and blog posts to decide if they seem appropriate you your situation. Once you find one you want to contact, there is a section on the right side of the page to reach the agent. You can send a message from there or put their name into a search engine and get a phone and email for them.
I hope this helps.
