how can i find out what bank owns a home in my neighborhood?

Any title company can tell you and you can get the info at the county recorders office. For that matter, any realtor can tell you too.Look it up on Zillow (zillow.com)...they usually have the info.

Ownership is usually found in the property records.
In Florida we go to the county property appraiser's web site. I'm sure a Realtor from Ramona will be able to stear you in the right direction.
