Yes. I used to have an agent that had a list of homes at 40 to 50 cents on the dollar. It's out there, keep searching.

There are some auctions coming up on Texas properties by a large auctioneer - here's a link to their site and to the homes in the area I work and live - from there you can visit the rest of their site and see other listings as well

I know a freind of mine got way behind on his income taxes and the IRS held a "tax foreclosure" auction in his front yard to try and sell the house. No bidders showed up. I asked why and was told that happens very often because the guy who loses the house has the right to reclaim it for the next six months. No one wanted to buy, and move in and live there and maybe have to move right back out.

The IRS offered to send me a list of all the tax foreclosure auctions they would be holding, but I decided that I did not want to do that.

Jackie, the best sites to check out for VA foreclosures or HUD homes is http://www.bidselect.com for HUD foreclosuers and http://www.ocwen.com or http://www.homesales.gov. This will take you straight to the listed foreclosures. STAY AWAY from sites that want to charge you a fee for getting these property list. They are usually SEVERAL months behind and its the same information that you can get on any of the sites I just named.
AND YES, you can also go to the court house records but ONLY if you have the exact address of the property in question.
Good Luck.

Are you talking about HUD foreclosures or something else?

You should check out my website under foreclosure links. There are tons of resources there.
