Why does foreclosure take so long in PA?

Damian Mock
Home Buyer
Cresson, PA

Here in PA, a home has been sitting empty since May 1st of 2008. The owner says that the bank is foreclosing on him, but it has not been advertised as such yet, anyway to speed up the process? I am interested in purchasing, and realize what COULD be wrong with it....HELP please..haha

The foreclosure process in Pennsylvania takes so long because their systems are so backed up! As we all know this is a nationwide epidemic. Court systems have to really manage the foreclosure department and there are not enough hours in the day! Also every county is different and has certain time frames.
