Some of the homes listed on the HUD site are tax related. Homesales.gov is the main site for any forfeited homes due to government liens. (VA,FHA,HUD,Tax)

You can also go straight to http://www.bidselect.com. This is where the hud.gov/homesforsale website will take you anyway, or at least for Texas homes. Also there is a site for VA foreclosures in Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas & Louisiana which is http://www.vba.va.gov/ro/houston/lgy/foreclosure.html

Property taxes are a collected by the county where the property is located. Start at the county clerk's office. They will tell you where the info is available.

If your county publishes the records online, like most Colorado counties do, you can find them there.
