HELLO HOME BUYER- YOU CAN CHECK WITH THE DEEDS IN SALEM ON LINE OR JUST WALK OVER TO TOWN HALL. GO INTO THE ASSESSERS OFFICE. ASK FOR DIANE. SHE IS VERY FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL. THEY HAVE BOOKS ON RECENT SALES , SEARCH BY STREET NAME OR MAP AND LOT. YOU CAN CHECK THE FIELD CARDS THAT ARE PLACED IN THE BINS ON THE COUNTER. yOU CAN ALSO PURCHASE THE PROPERTY CARD (SHEET) FOR $1.00 iT WILL LIST ALOT OF INFO ON THE HOUSE AND THE PURCHASE HISTORY AS WELL.

Hi Mark, I would suggest you work with a Buyer Agent from the North Shore to get this information if you are looking to buy.

Nope - it's here http://www.salemdeeds.com/goget.asp?type=street
Rockport is Essex county. You might want to see what someone paid if you are trying to determine how aggressive you were going to be in your offer. If say you were working a pre-foreclosure angle or some other such approach. I suppose you would do it "to see if there was meat on the bone" - not to be crass.

What someone paid for a property has little to do with what a property is worth today.
