When it says there are 106 forclosures, what is the timeframe on this count? When did the count start?

Cynthia, to build on Maureen's comment:

RealtyTrac is not a listing service, they just take public record and tease you with it so you will pay them a monthly fee to get more information. Most foreclosures are listed on the Realtor MLS sites - at market value, not the low price shown by RealtyTrac, which is nothing more than the amount(s) in default.

If you are looking for a foreclosure (termed an REO once the bank takes ownership) I would be happy to set you up with an automated MLS search agent for properties that meet your search criteria. Results would be automatically emailed to you. Please contact me if you are interested.

Hi Cynthia-
I'm just taking a guess here, but I'd guess that's the current number of foreclosures throughout Monterey County (which is geographically exceedingly large). I guarantee you it's not the current number within the City of Monterey. Realty Trac is a reasonably reliable public resource for foreclosures.
Sincerely,
Maureen Mason

Cynthia, Curt Abramson from Bailey Properties in Santa Cruz here. It's not clear to me what your question is in regards to. Where is the information about foreclosures you're referring to? Help us answer your question accurately. Thanks!

FIRST ANSWER

Cynthia, it takes 120 to 130 days, minimum, from the Notice of Default date for each individual foreclosure.
