My husband and I just moved to Hanover PA. We are only interested in homes that are short sales and or going into shortsales. How do you find these?

homes? Also, are there any foreclosure specialist in the area to help us.

When an agent lists a short sale they must code it as such in the Realtors Association of York and Adams County multiple list service. Any agent belonging to RAYAC would be able to find properties that are short sales. If you aren't working with an agent feel free to call me I would be happy to help you.

There are agents educated in the short sale process which are called CDPE's. If you want an expert in short sales pull up and it will allow a search by city , state and zip code. CDPE stands for Certified Distressed Property Expert.

Why not contact a couple of realty offices, interview a couple of agents and choose the one you like best--your agent will have access to shortsales and will be your best source of advice.

The best a professional Real Estate Agent to find you the best value and the best property. You will need assistance dealing with the banks on your behalf. This is not something I would do along or with an agent not experienced in Short Sales. Have any questions call me at 484-955-6937 and I will answer all your questions with NO obligation.

I am curious as to why you are only interested in short sales? Is it because you believe that you will get a better deal with a short sale? Short sales can take months and some times you may find before closing that the bank has not agreed to the terms of the contract. This can be a heartbreak if you had your heart set on a particular home. That being said I have had several transactions which closed without a problem. There can be issues when buying any home.
In our local area prices are down, this includes foreclosures, short sales and owner occupied homes. Why narrow your search if you don't have to? If you need assistance in your home search please feel free to contact me @
Good Luck!
