My house went up for auction on 7/24/09 in Tacoma, WA Pierce county at the County City Building. How do I?

find out if anyone bought it or not? Where do I find that info? I would like to know ASAP so I can know what to do next.

Dugald gave good answer!! Rather than finding out whether anyone bought or not, it's always good to look for another rental before the foreclosure hits your credit. If anyone bought, then you will get very short notice to move and so use this time to find a good rental...good luck!

Kxb,

If you need to know *now*, call the trustee or check your address on http://www.usa-foreclosures.com (if your trustee uses that service)

Being Monday morning, it's unlikely that the system will be updated, but you can check online at the recorder's web site on http://www.co.pierce.wa.us/PC/abtus/ourorg/aud/record.htm. Trustee's deeds are typically recorded some time in the next week.

If the bank has the property, you'll be contacted by a property manager and if you live there, you may get some $$ from the bank to help you move out as long as you leave the home in good condition.

What to do? If it's your home, then step one is to find somewhere to live. Now. Before the foreclosure sale itself has been added to your credit.

I hope that helps

I would call the trustee if you have the letter as Jim said. My understanding is that if it sold you have
20 days to move out of your house and remove all your belongings.

I can think of a few ways to at least try to find out if it sold at auction.

You could go to the county treasury web site to search your tax parcel number and see if it shows a new owner, but I would doubt it would shopw this soon. By the way, that county auction deal is very unorganized. I was there on Friday and wow, not impressed.

Another way is to contact your mortgage holder and just ask them. They may or may not know though.

If you have the letter from the trustee that was informing you of the sale, you can contact the trustee and inquire. This may be your quickest way to get any answer.

I can check tax data if you like, but the others you have to contact on your own.

All the best
Jim
