You do not mention the type of auction. For failure to pay past due property taxes, or as a foreclosure?
I suggest contacting the party performing the auction to find out what they expect.

Depending upon the buyer and situtation, it may be that the new owner might WANT your daughter to remain in the property as a renter for a period of time.

First question, did she ever own it?Next question what was in her contract?I would suggest you to check the auction first, than they have to have a resonable offer for your daughter. She should be able to buy this house back. They can't just make her leave the house, unless there is something very wrong with entire situation, for example the way she acquired the house.I would suggest as well to turn to authorities and find out what is a legall procedure for this type of situation, quite possible that you will have to hire an attorney but your daughter doesn't have to leave and no one can force her out of her house unless there is a Court Order but for that she would have to commit a crime and be sentenced. Each and every sittuation is different ,so it's very difficult to answer. The best sollution would have a real estate attorney.
