now is listed as a Short Sale. What do we do in the meantime, We need money to make a move. Should we stop sending rent to Virginia, and put the rent in an escrow account? Please help
I saw on a news channel ( Clark Howard Show on Cnn) that a new law has been passed to allow you 90 days past the lease end date to find a new house BUT you must pay the rent on time to the bank that forclosed on it... Try to go to the web site to find info... Who has money for an attorney... silly people...
Hope this helps.

Andy,
Mike is correct, the best person to answer your question would be an attorney. The first place I would go would be to the SL County Clerk's office and tell them that you were served as a tenant in a foreclosure. They deal with this every day, and may be able to give you names of attorneys who can help you in this situation. I would also answer the summons that you received in the time frame that it requests.
Paint the front door with rat's blood. Take some cheap roast and hide it in the bushes....the opposite effect on buyers as fresh baked cookies. Swastika on garage door. You get the idea.
Andy, your best option is to ask an attorney. We can help you find a home or a rental, but not legal advice.
