Is it possible to short sale a home during the redemption period?

Hi R-biz,

I'm not an attorney and I'm not offering any advice. In my opinion, the redemption period is specifically for the foreclosed homeowner to redeem the judgement and make final settlement with the lender to keep the house. As far as I know, no other transaction can occur during the redemption period.

Anyone out there have direct experience with this? The included link will take you to the state laws governing foreclosure.
