Lidia,

Per california Civil Code regarding foreclosure, your lender that is foreclosing must advertise in a local paper for 3 weeks when the original Notice of Trustee's sale is recorded. As was already mentioned, the lender must also post the Notice on the door of the property as part of the notification process.

Your lender can postpone the foreclosure sale as long as they chose to without placing the notification in the newspaper again. It is critically important that you discuss your situation with a Realtor or attorney (depending on what you want to do) that KNOWS CA CIVIL CODE regarding foreclosures.

I would be honored to meet you you at a time that is good for you to explore your options in your current situation. We have assisted over 100 clients with loan modifications and short sales, and have been trained in CA Civil Code and Short Sales.

Wishing you the best,
