If my home is in default and I no longer live there, when can I shut-off the electricity?

It is your choice whether to keep the power on, however you are still responsible for this property until the lender forecloses.

Miranda,

I am so sorry your home is in default, if you have the property on the market, then it is necessary that you have power to the home. It is difficult to sell a home without power, however if you have moved out of the home and turned it back over to the lender, then you can disconnect at anytime.
Good luck to you.
