Foreclosure in Lancaster>Question Details

Lisa, Home Owner in Lancaster, PA

I'm going through deed-in-lieu of foreclosure in PA. BOA appraised the property. I would like a copy BUT they said I am not allowed. Is this?

Yes.

If BOA paid for the appraisal--or if it was a BPO (similar to an appraisal)--then it's theirs. They paid for it; they own it.

BofA ordered and paid for the appraisal to determine the value of your house for their own purposes. It belongs to them. I do not think they have to share it with you.

I believe it probably is true. If they paid for it, ordered it, it is their property, not yours.
