Thank you for your question about foreclosure properties. The best source for Foreclosure numbers is RealtyTrac because they track Notices of Default, which means they know exactly how many homes were foreclosed. No one else can give you an accurate number because banks hold properties off the market for various business reasons. RealtyTrac is not the best resource for Foreclosure Listings because they list many properties that may never come on the market but they are the best resource for information.
The numbers are changing daily, not only for zip code 30291 but all over the US. How many are you looking to purchase? Are you looking for an area with lots of foreclosures or an area with limited foreclosure? Just trying to clarify your question, so that I can help you.
It's hard to answer with an exact number as stated previously. But just in general in the 30291 zip code there are 37 Active Listings in MLS. This number also does not reflect pre-forclosures or short sales. Hope this helps.
You may wish to re-phrase your question and be specific--if you're looking for foreclosures in any area, and if you don't have an agent-- why not contact a few realty offices, interview a couple of agents and choose the one you like best--he/she will be your best guide in accessing information, pricing, etc.
