We put an offer in last Thursday and included in the contract that it must be accepted by...well, yesterday. I'm getting anxious.
Banks take their own time it not a normal transaction as if you are dealing direct with property owner. In most normal circumstance if lender prefers your sales offer you may have a response within 72 working hours. If they don't you may have zero response.
We instruct buyers keep looking have back up properties .

Are you working with an agent?
Normally with "foreclosures" it only requires several days to hear back about your offer. Our recommendation is to have you agent contact the banks representative to see what the status of your offer is....
They sometimes make a decision but neglect to contact the necessary people.
Good luck
Experience has shown me that it can take up to 3 months until you get an acceptance or rejection. The average response time is 3 weeks. It all depends on how many other offers were before yours, which bank it is, and how close your offer is to the asking price. Hope this helps!
Unfortunately, the amount of time that a bank will take to accept/reject an offer varies from case to case. Sometimes an offer will receive a quick response within a couple days, and other times it might take a few weeks to receive any feedback (if at all).
