Kdavis`, Renter in Burlington County, NJ

How do you find out if you have an eviction record against you? I am very soon going to be looking for an apartment or house for rent .

Hello Kdavis,
Thank you for your question.
You can review your credit report and look through it. It should show up in there. If it is too recent may not.
You are entitled to a free credit report per year in NJ. Companies are Equifax, Transunion and Experian.
Good luck!

It shows as a Civil judgement and/or action on your credit report

Check your credit report. It should show up there.

An EVICTION, or anything like that, will only matter if it appears on your Credit Report:
There is no RENTER's REPORT or EVICTION REPORT.
Only your Credit Report.

Look at your Credit Report; that is what you'll have to answer for: If it doesn't appear, the only way that your next landlord will hear about it, is you tell him.

Good luck and may God bless
