My husband bought a mobile home 7 yrs ago & the county we live in just now found out that we owe taxes on the house, not the land.We found out that the house isn't even in our name, still in the previous owners name,we have a lawyer working on this case for us,but my question is how do we get a title on this house?we own the land, just not the house.I went to public records & saw court records on the previous owner, she had just bought the house new & then for some reason they forclosed on it a few mnths later. We want to get out of this mortgage & get our money back out of this house & mortgage but how if we don't own it? Is it possible to get a title? Can we sue the lawyer who closed for us?

Your attorney will probably be able to apply for a new title if it can be proved that it was lost. It is a process, but talk with your attorney about it.
