FIRST ANSWER

If in default you mean the homeowner has missed mortgage payments (typically three payments and the lender files a lis pendens to initiate foreclosure proceedings), then this information would be available for the general public at the recorders office in Woodstock. Ilinois. All pertinent information, including the lienholders and foreclosing attorney, will be on record. The people at the recorders office are very accomodating and helpful. As a realtor I can certainly check a specific address for you - just call me at 815-715-0535 and give me the address. I can perform a quick check for you.
