Either check with the bank that foreclosed on the property, or check with a real estate broker who can help you locate the property owner/info/status. Some foreclosures are good deals, but most of them are not necessarily good deals.
Check online for "lender Owned" or "bank Owned" also check the HUD homes as well. Most listing agents list the foreclosures with the other homes.
Depending on the stage you might be able to find out about it through the local paper. If it has really been foreclosed you can go to the county records and see who now owns the home then persue them.
If it's GOING to be foreclosed on, but hasn't yet there are several different options, including "saving" it from foreclosure.
