I am an experienced real estate broker. I have been in real estate in Santa Cruz County since 1975. I was approached 'early on' to do BPO's and did not want to make money off of other's losses. It is not to late to sign up as an REO agent. The banks reavaluate their agents every year. They do take applications. And the foreclosure market is the highest it has been in years. It is late to be jumping on the train now, virtually all of the larger bansk have closed their registration of new brokers. the bets way is to complete bpo's for a bank and you earn listing sthat way. dont waste your money buying lists. At this point you should contact the nmortgage companies or banks you give business to, and ask them for referrals to their REO departments. Good luck with your search
