IMO the realtors in TC lack in honesty and most likely are hiding the foreclosures or trying to keep them off the market. They will do anything for a commission including hiding good deals.

Any good Realtor can assist you in exploring the forclosure market. And in addition, they can assist in not only acquiring the property, but leading you through the entire process from locating the right property to yhe closing table.

Deb, I'd suggest you contact Connie for properties in Grand Traverse County. She's a very knowledgable agent and can get you the latest foreclosure information from our local MLS.

Deb, Trulia uses Realtytrac for foreclosed homes. It may be that your price range was too narrow or that there were few homes in foreclosure in TC.

You could also try http://taar.com/ the local MLS. I did not see a foreclosure choice for consumers, but there is an income property choice in the home search.

Hello Deb, Your best bet would be to link up with an agent that can do a property search for you from the MLS. The public site for the local association of Realtors does not let you do a search by owner. I do have a compiled list that I can email you if you would like. Deb, There are foreclosed homes available on Trulia. Go to the homes search and select the foreclosed tab. I'm sure a local agent will also be able to obtain foreclosures from the MLS.
