Miss_banana, contact the Equalization Department in that county and they should be able to tell you. If not the Register of Deeds office should be able to help you. However, the bank will be listing the house with an agent and will most likely direct you to that person.

FIRST ANSWER

Look up the county the house is in and you can usually do a search for tax assessments, or property information. I was able to get tax, sale, property records all online this way. It's all public info.
