Can I file for bankruptcy if I did not go to the court foreclosure proceedings?

A Lis Pendens was filed in Dec. 2007; I did not go to court. Two orders of Foreclosure have been filed
against the property. An auction was held. I am not sure if the home is bank owned yet. I have had no
communication with the mortgage company. They have appointed a trustee for the property with a law
firm. Can I file bankruptcy if I ignored court proceedings in Illinois?

You need to confer with an attorney determine all legal issues regards property owned. County tax records will indicate who owns home whether bank has possession. Best of luck sorry to read about this
