What everyone is trying to say is, all realtors should be specialists! We all have to do foreclosure work to be in the buisness, so just find a realtor who you feel you can best work with and look at properties that meet you price criteria and you will be fine!
South Florida Brokers
We would encourage you to contact brokers directly and seek there top people, experienced in distressed properties. From there, interview several, look at their websites, and read their testimonials. Good Luck!
There are true specialists that handle specific geographic areas and there are even more agents that "claim" to be specialists in whatever the wind blows their way.
Most full time, real estate agents and brokers "should" have a working knowledge of representing a buyer or seller in respect to REO. Short Sale, and Foreclosures.
Just like Florida Attorney's can legally handle ANY type of LAW, most specialize in a particular aspect of law.
Real Estate is a bit different, most agents must work with or at least try to work with ANY type of transaction in order to stay afloat.
Search For Foreclosures Below;
I agree don't limit your search to Just foreclosures and short sales on Miami Beach you won't get to many to choose and there are still really good deals in the MLS if you know where to look.
