Vicky,
First things first - foreclosures are a pain in the neck to deal with. If you've got a ton of patience, you can get through the whole process. It isn't too uncommon for this hide and seek game from lenders.
With that said, I'd call the VA back and ask for their loss mitigation department. Often times, they'll have access to the information you'll need. You may have to talk to a few different people until you get someone that might be able to refer you to the right person.
Yahoo.com is what I call an information 'bucket'. There are many sources that fill that bucket. It's pretty tough to say specifically where the listing came from unless it says so in the information.
If this doesn't get you enough help - I can gladly help connect you with someone who can get you some more information on foreclosures.
I'm curious, is there a certain reason this is THE home you're interested in getting?
Thanks for the question.
