Asked by Sandy, Crystal, MN Fri Apr 3, 2009

purchasing a home and will not be a vacationing snowbird. Are there rental properties reasonably priced and are there short term rentals to be had in Cape Coral or will I have to pay the vacationing snowbird outrageous rental prices?

Hi Sandy,

We have 2 types of rentals in general. Furnished rentals usually are occupied during the winter or "season". These rentals usually charge by the month or week and are higher. The 12 month rentals are usually unfurnished and are less. We have a rental office, I do not deal with them, so if you would like to contact me I can help by giving you someone to talk to. How cold is it up there?

Sandy,

I have a furnished short term rental, 3 bedroom 2.5 Bathrooms that could be made available to you on a short term basis during your home search. It would be $1000 per month including phone, cable and internet. That way you would not have to unpack & repack. My client owns it and we often use it for situations just like yours. It takes the pressure off of the buyer and helps me to better find them their next place to call home.

Feel free to email me and I could send you pictures of the rental and go from there.
Blessings to you.

Hi, Sandy,

"Season" is winding down. After Easter, most "snowbirds" go home and there will be plenty of rentals to choose from at the lower off season price. I know a great rental agent and she will be glad to find you a rental. If you would like for me to send to you listings of avaialbe homes for purchase, please drop me an email or call. I will also be glad to sign you up for Listingbook where you can search for available propertiesi at leisure.

Hi Sandy

Hi season was over March 31. Short term monthly rental rates will decrease approx. 30 to 40 % in April and May and by 50% in June.

I can refer you to qualified Rental agencies and would be happy to help you with sales questions.

Best Regards,
