My friend and I are looking at renting a house in the san mateo area. We need a place that accepts dogs and
can't afford more than 2000 a month in rent not including utilities.Any body know of good place to do searches or people to talk to.

I’d put together a pet resume if you haven’t already & offer a larger security deposit. You can approach rentals which don’t indicate they’re pet friendly and see if the owner is open to a dog.
