Huntersville is a great area. You will need to decide what you are looking for in a home. how many bedrooms and bathrooms you want. If schools are important then you will want to look at a website to decide on which schools best fit your needs. http://www.ncreportcard.org is a good site for a barometer of how schools perform.
I advise you start looking about 2 to 3 months in advance fo your move.
If that one isn't to your liking we can find others. You will love the Huntersville region. My family relocated here from the northeast (we are originally from St. Louis but moved a lot with IBM). We have been here for 27 years so you know we love it!
Blessings upon you...

Glad to help you! What kind of monthly rent are you hoping to pay? What kind of house? There will be plenty of houses to choose from. Most parents in the Lake Norman/ Huntersville area are happy with the schools. You can look at websites to see what they are saying and the rankings. Try http://www.ncreportcards.org to see the rankings. The Charlotte Mecklenburg website is full of good information.
Congratulations on choosing such a wonderful area to relocate to! Please email me directly with your criteria and a bit more information on your move and I will gladly guide you through your relocation. My services are free to you!
